Abstract

478,475. Cathode - ray tubes. MARCONI'S WIRELESS TELEGRAPH CO., Ltd. April 23, 1937, No. 11736. Convention date, May 12, 1936. [Class 39 (i)] In a cathode-ray tube having electrostatic deflection plates, de-focusing and " keystoning " errors are avoided by forming the two plates 33, 35 with a curved edge 37 and providing on the longitudinal edges of one of the plates 35 flanges 39 extending towards the other plate 33. The edges 37 are arcuate, the centre of curvature coinciding with the point of deflection of the beam produced by the other pair of deflecting plates 29.
