Abstract
469,897. Cathode-ray tubes. MARCONI'S WIRELESS TELEGRAPH CO., Ltd., and LEVIN, N. Feb. 3, 1936, No. 3270. [Class 39 (i)] A tube comprises a plurality of apertured electrodes, and focusing means directing the electron stream on to the walls of these apertures, which are adapted to emit secondary electrons. In a television receiver tube, as shown, the beam falls upon the internal caesium-coated walls of successive apertured discs 3, 4, 5, focusing coils 5, 7 being provided. The apertures may be cylindrical, with flared countersunk ends on the face away from the cathode 1. Typical voltages and dimensions are given.
