Abstract
477,874. Perforating. FARNSWORTH TELEVISION, Inc. April 30, 1937, No. 12385. Convention date, May 18, 1936. [Class 83 (iv)] [Also in Group XL] In a cathode-ray tube the aperture 12 in the diaphragm 11 at the end of the anode 4 is formed by bombarding the imperforate diaphragm by electrons from the indirectly heated cathode 3 until a hole is melted in the diaphragm. Indication of the size of the hole is ob - tained by the spot obtained on the fluorescent screen 2.
