Abstract

476,417. Supply systems for cathoderay tubes. MULLER AKT.-GES., C. H. F. June 26, 1937, No. 17873. Convention date, June 29, 1936. [Class 38 (iv)] The luminous spot is biassed by the application to the deflecting plates of correcting voltages derived from subsidiary parallelconnected potentiometers at the positive end of the main potentiometer, the subsidiary potentiometers comprising fixed and variable resistances. The supply points 1, 2 are connected to the main potentiometer having several tapping points 3, 4, 5 for connection to the Wehnelt cylinder, the cathode and the lens electrode. One subsidiary potentiometer comprises fixed resistances 7, 8 between which a tapping point is connected to a plate 21 of the pair of deflecting plates 21, 22 and to a plate 23 of the other pair 23, 24. Two other subsidiary potentiometers consist each of a fixed resistance 9, 10 and a variable resistance 11, 12 and their central tapping points are connected one to each of the deflecting plates 22, 24. High resistances are arranged in the connections. The input voltages are applied through condensers 17, 18, 19, 20.
