Abstract

467,938. Double door fastenings. VRIES, A. DE. April 7, 1936, No. 10195. [Class 44] A fastening for the double door of a cupboard, wardrobe, &c. comprises a lever 18 holding a spherical - ended catch 20 in engagement with the firstclosed door 1 when a pin 23, moving the lever, is displaced by closure of the other door 2, door 2 being retained in the closed position by a spherical-ended catch 25 slidably mounted on pin 23 and biassed to engage position by a spring 28 which also serves to bias catch 20 into engagement. Catch 25 is slotted so that its end presents two segmental portions engaging in corresponding apertures 31, whilst a bridge-piece 32 serves to displace the pin 23 when door 2 is closed.
