Abstract

406,811. Window fastenings. TONKS, W. H., 201, Moseley Street, Birmingham. Nov. 8, 1932, No. 31503. [Class 44.] A fastening for windows, doors, or the like, comprises two brackets c, d fixed on the moving and stationary parts b, a respectively. A hook h on the bracket c engages a hook e which is pivoted to the bracket d and held in the closed position by a spring f. To release the catch finger pressure is exerted on a lug g which turns the hook e and an abutment i passes through a hole j in the bracket d to contact with a projection k on the hook h. The spring may be replaced by a counter-weight.
