Abstract

219,433. Winter, V., and Winter, W. May 15, 1923. Sash fasteners, pivoted-arm type.- The pivoted arm 5, Fig. 1, is secured against release by a plate 1 pivoted to the sash rail in alignment with the catch and provided with a turned-up end 4 opposite to the catch and a turned-down side 6 to limit inward movement of the plate on its pivot. The down-turned part 6 may be provided on a part 9 adjustably secured to the plate 1, as shown in Fig. 3, to adapt the device to sash rails of various thicknesses. In each case the plate 1 has a downwardly directed countersunk boss 7 to receive the pivot 3.
