Abstract

395,095. Window fastenings. TUCKER, R. A., 117, Stoke Newington Road, London. March 18, 1932, No. 8087. [Class 44.] A pivoted-arm sash fastener is provided with a spring-controlled sliding bolt 6 which is moved into engagement with the keeper plate 10 by a cam 5 on the pivoted arm 4 when the latter is moved to its fastening position. The pivoted arm 4 may carry at its outer end a screw which engages with a groove 11 in the keeper plate to draw the sashes together. The bolt 6 preferably engages with an oval hole 9 in the keeper plate to allow for movement of the sashes.
