516,905. Window fastenings. DANIELS, A. July 29, 1938, No. 22538. [Class 44] In a casement window fastening comprising an arm D pivoted at E on a bracket C secured to the window frame A and having a short arm engaging over a plate F secured to the fixed frame B; the short arm carries a boss 2 housing a key-operated screw 1 which can be moved into engagement with a recess 10 in plate F. The square head 7 'of the screw which is engaged by the key is within a counterbore 5, and complete withdrawal of the screw is prevented by burring the end 8, a recess 9 being provided in boss 2 to receive the burr when the screw is retracted. A short claw 11 provides for holding the window in an ajar position.
