Abstract

412,000. Door fastenings. BAKER, Ltd., J. C., and BAKER, J. C., 48, Foregate Street, Worcester. March 21, 1933, No. 8465. [Class 44.] A door fastening has a latch bar 1 with a slot 2 having upturned ends 3 to engage the pin 4. The member 5 on the door jamb is shaped, as shown in Fig. 4, with an extended part 6 which can pass over the end of the latch bar 1. When the hinge pin 4 is in the righthand end of the slot 2 the bar 1 functions as a latch, but when the bar is moved so that the pin 4 is in the left-hand end of the slot the bar functions as a bolt.
