Abstract

400,325. Window fastenings. MOORES, J. S., 118, Rodney Street, Birkenhead, Cheshire. May 25, 1932, No. 14814. [Class 44.] A bolt 1 for a sliding window is formed with a flange 9 having a notch 11 and is held shot or retracted by disaligning the notch from a rib 8 on the casing 3. A spring 10 may be arranged between the flange 9 and the end of the casing. In the shot position, the bolt may be held against turning by engaging a pin 14 with a hole 15 in the bolt and with recesses 12 in the casing. The pin 14 may be carried by a yoke or chain on the bolt. The bolt cooperates with one of a number of recesses 19, 20 on a second sash to hold the window in adjusted position.
