Door jambs.-The jamb or frame of the door is made in parts a, a<1> having a tongue-andgroove engagement and adapted to be drawn together so as to be held frictionally on the wall. When clamped together on the wall, locking means such as pawls k and ratchets n are automatically engaged by means of a pin m on one part and a slotted guide h on the other part, and retain the parts in position. In a modification, the parts when clamped together are secured by means of a three-pronged plate screwed to one part and bolted to the second part or the meeting edges of the parts b, b<1> may be bevelled so that when screwed together the parts a, a<1> are held to the wall face. The parts a, a<1> may be wedged on to the wall or secured by means of a bolt passing through both. The parts a<1>, b<1> and a, b are connected by spiked clamps c<1>, c.
