Abstract

374,660. Door locks. WINBY, I. S., 14, Allen Mansions, Allen Street, Kensington, London. July 9, 1931, No. 19811. [Class 44.] The striking plate 3 for a door lock houses an auxiliary bolt 1 which is moved directly in front of the main bolt to engage a slot in the door when the main bolt or latch 7 enters the striking plate aperture. The main latch 7 butts against one end 25 of a spring-urged lever 12 so that the other end 24 of the lever moves the auxiliary bolt 1 outwards to engage a slot in a plate 11 secured to the door 8.
