Abstract

514,386. Fastenings for doors &c. HARVEY & CO., Ltd., M., and CUBLEY, H. May 2, 1938, No. 13052. [Class 44] A fastening for refrigerator doors &c. comprises a latch plate 10 on which are pivoted the latch 13 and its operating lever 15. The latch engages a striking plate formed of two relatively adjustable parts 44, 47. and either the latch or the plate has a cam surface to force the door on to its rest 55. The latch is urged to closing position by a spring 22, and may be retracted either by the handle 36 on the lever 15, or by a push rod 26 from the other side of the door. A cover 39 is screwed to a plate 10.
