Abstract

557,661. Fastenings for doors &c. LUNDHOLM, J. E. Oct. 20, 1942, No. 14721. [Class 44] A fastening for doors &c. comprises a rod 8 longitudinally movable by a handle 4 and carrying one or more curved bolts 12, provided at one end with a locking member 13 which enters a recess in the door frame in locking position, and at the other end with a cam &c. 14 which, in the unlocking position, imparts an initial opening movement to the door. The bolt is guided in its movements by slots in a fixed plate 5 which encloses the fastenings in a recess in the door. If two fastenings are arranged at opposite edges of a window &c. the rods 8 are connected by linkwork in a third edge. In another application, one fastening is mounted in one edge of a main window, and is connected to another at right angles thereto controlling a smaller upper window.
