Sash fasteners, pivoted-arm type.-In a sashfastener of the pivoted-arm type, a slotted member F, Fig. 3, or a folded plate, is secured on the limb D of the catch piece, by a set screw G, to prevent the arm A from being forced back by means of a knife inserted between the meeting rails of the sashes. The member F may be secured by a chain or cord H to one of the sashes. According to the Provisional Specification, the slotted member can be dispensed with and the catch-piece provided with a tapped hole to receive a set-screw adapted to contact with the base-plate of the catch.
