Abstract

Catches yielding to pull and pressure.-A door is held in the closed position by a folded strip of springy metal having one limb a secured to the edge of the door frame, the other limb b forming a striking plate of convex shape extending beyond, and towards the plane of, the fixed limb, so that the door g, on closing, contacts first with the free end of the striking plate. The device may be used with swing doors. A hole in the free part provides for insertion of the fixing screw.
