April 15, 1935, No. 11612. Convention date, April 14, 1934. [Class 29] [See also Group XVII] A vessel comprising an inner glass wall 1 suspended within an outer metal wall 4 by a joint including a gasket 8<a> at the necks of the walls is provided with a hollow stopper preferably of glass, having a wall 16 loosely fitting into the mouth of the vessel and flanges 18, 19 embracing the neck as shown. When detached, the stopper may serve as a drinking- cup, the flange 19 providing a cool grip. A packing-ring 20 is located beneath the flange 18 and the stopper is secured by a spring bail 23 provided with a ball 24 adapted to ride up a groove into a recess 25. The glass wall 1 of the vessel may be coated with reflecting or white enamel 2 on the outside, and the space between the walls is filled with comminuted cork or other insulation. The flange 19 of the stopper may be ornamented to conceal the neck joint.
