Abstract
444,756. Heat - retaining vessels ; cooking-stoves. ASCOLI, L. D., 7, Occupation Road, Manor Place, Walworth, London. Sept. 24, 1934, No. 27379. [Class 29] [See also Group XI] A heat-insulated vessel comprising inner and outer walls a, b, Fig. 1, with insulation c between them and having insulation d at the joint of the walls is provided with a renewable lining e spaced from the inner wall and supported by a flange e<1> insulated by a strip f from the wall joint. A resilient metal strip r faced with insulation s, Fig. 2 and bent to a wedge shape is attached to the wall at the mouth of the vessel to provide a close joint for the lid. The thickness of the wedge may be varied by inserting members between parts r<1> of the strip. In the case of a vessel with a gas burner n, Fig. 3, at the bottom, the liner e is without a bottom and is formed with a base flange e<3> and with an upper double flange e<4>, e‹ covered with insulation at e<6>. A boiling vessel k has a flange k<1> resting on packing on the wall joint, and insulation l may be supported by a strip m below the wall joint. A side door o is open while the burner is alight. The flange e<5> of the liner deflects hot gases away from the wall joint.
