Electric ovens.- H e. a t - insulated covers for electric cooking apparatus, having a socket or opening at the top for an electric cutout, thermometer &c., are formed of an inner single metal sheet a, having a base flange c and a tubular portion b at the top to form the socket, and an outer metal sheet f united to the inner sheet by beading over the edges g, k of the latter. In a modification the inner wall of the cover is in two sections united by folding their circular meeting edges, these sections being joined as above described to the outer wall.
