Abstract
300,063. Johnsen &. Jorgensen Flint Glass, Ltd., and Ellett, W. A. March 5, 1928. Mounts.- A glass jar or like container of oval or other form is fitted with a metal neck portion 5 having are-entrant mouth and provided with a hinged cover 9 of dished form, fitting within the mouth. The neck portion may be permanently secured to the jar by being indented as at 6 into depressions 4 in the latter, or may be removably secured by means of a bayonet joint or like connection. The cover may have a hinged or pivoted lifting look 9a or may be provided with a hinged fastening member 12, Fig. 4, adapted to engage with a rib 2 on the jar or with a projection on the neck. Indiarubber or other packing may be provided between the lid and the seating, or the flanges 7, 10<a> may be of bevelled form to afford a tight fit.
