474,853. Closures for petrol tanks. WESTWOOD, S. C., and WESTWOOD, H. B. Aug. 20, 1936, No. 22916. [Class 125 (iii)] A closure for a petrol tank &c. comprises a neck-piece a having an annular seating surface b at the outer end thereof, and a rotatable cap e having a sealing gasket g therein. Lugs h are provided for forming a bayonet joint with the part a. A link j secured to the centre of the cap and to the part a, hingedly attaches the cap thereto. A friction device p prevents relative rotation between the swivel piece l and the cap. Recesses or projections may be provided to engage the ends of the friction device. Specification 474,844 is referred to.
