711,181. Closure caps. WESTWOOD RIM & PATENTS, Ltd., WESTWOOD, S. C., and WESTWOOD, N. F. March 5, 1953 [March 10, 1952], No. 6140/52. Class 125 (3) The closure cap of a vehicle petrol tank is secured against loss by a flexible wire a secured to the cap c and neck d of the tank, thin metal sleeves b being placed over each end of the wire and both wire and sleeve being kinked to secure the sleeve. The wire passes through a hole in cap c and is retained by the sleeve b but the tank neck has attached thereto a metal socket e with slot h and notches i the sleeve b being inserted into the slot h and the sides of the socket then being squeezed together to prevent detachment.
