Abstract

955,276. Tamper-proof closures. EMNOSA SOC. DE PERSONNES a.r.1. March 22, 1961 [March 29, 1960], No. 10476/61. Heading B8T. A tamper-proof closure comprises a plastic cap 4 with an internal acute-angled groove 2 engaged by a downwardly-inclined.flange 5 on the neck of the container, the cap having a band 7 adapted to be torn away. The band 7 may be at the lower edge of the cap or above the groove 2. The upper portion of the cap may be screw-threaded at 10, Fig. 3, with blunt threads which permit the cap to be pushed on to engage the flange 5 and to form a screw closure after the band 7 has been torn away.
