[Class 53] A stopper arrangement for storage batteries comprises a necklike member 2 extending from the lid 1 and having apertures 3 associated with a valve 4 in combination with a cap 6 provided with a flange 7 extending down to or near the lid 1, to direct downwardly any electrolyte that may escape through the holes 3. The valve 4 is in the form of a rubber sleeve, and the cap .6 is screwed to the neck member 2.
