263,628. Hailwood, E. A. Jan. 8, 1926. Spouts.-An oil or like can is provided with a glass spout T slidable in a gland R secured to the can. The ends of the spout are flanged outwards to prevent complete withdrawal or insertion of the spout, and the outlet end is provided with a pouring lip which serves as a means for withdrawing the spout. The outlet end may' be closed by a cork or like plug, or the gland may be provided with a rim R<2> adapted to receive a spring cap A embracing both the spout and gland. The gland contains packing P which is held in place by turning in the upper end R<4> of the grand. The gland may be made in halves. held together by a wire clip.
