[Class 29.] A vacuum-jacketed milk &c. can comprises shells 1, 2 of Staybrite steel or Monel metal polished or plated on the surfaces enclosing the jacket, and welded together at the line of contact between the flared mouth of the inner shell and the cylindrical neck of the outer shell. A hollow bung packed, if desired, with asbestos or cotton wool is held in position by a stirrup 14, Fig. 2, pivoted to the can.
