Abstract
180,082. Minson, J. J. Feb. 24, 1921. Cold and heat retaining vessels. - A vacuumjacketed flask, jar, liquid-air container, &c. has one or more heat-insulating baffles in the vacuum space. The baffle preferably comprises a casing f containing heat-insulating material such as cork. The baffle may extend down a part or the whole of the length of the inner vessel c. A rubber or like ring may be arranged at the mouth of the casing f beneath an insulated stopper j, Fig. 1. In the construction shown in Fig. 2, an outer casing f<1> enclosing insulating material connects the outer and inner walls at the neck, two insulated parts thus being provided. A rubber or like ring h secured by the casing f<1> retains the insulating material in the casings and also prevents access of liquid thereto.
