Abstract

393,220. Vacuum-jacketed vessels. MONASCH, A., 9, Lutherstrasse, Rudolstadt, Thuringia, Germany. Jan. 5, 1933, No. 391. [Class 29.] A lining 2 is mounted within a vacuum - insulated receptacle 1 in such a manner that the walls of the vessel do not carry the weight of the lining which is provided with a rim 3 secured by screws 8 to an annular heat-insulalating rim 7 carried by the outer casing 4. A heat-insulating cushion 6 is provided between the ring 7 and the vessel 1. In a modification the ring 7 is divided into two superimposed rings, enclosing the rim 3 and carried by an angleiron secured round the top of the casing 4. Rubber washers may be interposed between the various rings to take up any inequalities. The lining may be composed of metal, glass, porcelain, or moulded condensation products.
