Abstract

770,275. Cold and heat retaining vessels. BRITISH VACUUM FLASK CO., Ltd., and HASSID, M. A. June 9, 1954 [June 9, 1953], No. 15838/53. Class 64(2) [Also in Group XVII] Inner and outer containers, e.g. of a plastic material, the outer container 1 being shaped to define a pouring spout 3 and the inner container 4 also defining a spout, are joined at their rims with an air space between, to form an insulated jug. A hole 7 in the outer container is for the introduction of silvering solution. A hollow lid is formed in similar manner and has a skirt with an opening 16 which can be made to register with the jug spout, for pouring, by rotation of. the lid. The top 9 of the lid and at least part of the outer container 1 may be transparent. The rim of the inner container of the jug rests on that of the outer before joining. The top 9 of the lid is rabbeted to to the bottom 8 before joining and either may, be silvered.
