Abstract

1,218,391. Auxiliary containers; caps for containers. E. W. PENTON. 20 Jan., 1968, No. 3141/68. Headings B8D and B8T. A container 15, e.g. of plastics, has an annular skirt 20, with an annular recess 18, to engage the flange 12 of, e.g. a can 10. A protective sheet 32, e.g. of plastics, being heat sealed at 22. In a modification the container 15 has an annular skirt at both ends to facilitate stacking. In a further modification, Fig. 3 (not shown), the skirt 20 is a separate unit. Another modification has a cup (40), Fig. 4 (not shown), instead of the sheet 32 which is gripped inside the container 15.
