Abstract
613,828. Vacuum-jacketed vessels. SKAR, A. July 31, 1945, No. 19627. [Class 64(ii)] [Also in Group XVII] A vacuum bottle has an inner container 10 of glass or other suitable material and an outer shell 12 of metal, hermetically secured to a neck portion 13 with an air tight connection 14. A restricted neck 17 encloses a bead 20 on the neck of the inner container 10. A cup-like closure 21 is threaded on to the neck portion 13 and a stopper B (see Group XVII) is provided having means for releasing a partial vacuum which may be set up in the container 10 if heated liquids within should cool.
