'[Class 125(iii)] A vacuum-closuring device of rubber or flexible plastic material comprises a flat disc 5 with a flange wall 6, which may fit either within or around a container opening 9, a radial flange 6a, which may be strengthened by a metal ring 15, and a central hole 7 sealed by a movable or detachable stopper member, e.g. a headed stopper 10, a flexible band 11, or a non-detachable stopper such as the valve shown in Fig. 4.
