Abstract
536,152. Vacuum flasks. REES, L. Jan. 15, 1940, No. 872. [Class 64 (ii)] A glass vacuum-jacketed vessel 1 is provided with a bulge 1a near the top forming a shoulder which rests on a rubber ring 4 supported on a flange 2b at the lower end of a tubular member 2a secured to the top of the case 2. A collar member 3 is screwed into the member 2a, and at the top is turned inwardly at 3d to fit the mouth of the glass vessel, the shoulder 3b being in contact with the bulge. In a modification, Fig. 4, the case 2 is adapted to be formed of plastic material. The supporting shoulder is formed at 2d and the collar member 3b is screwed into the case, and receives the threaded drinking cup 6. A cap 7 forms the closure of the vessel 1.
