Abstract

520,429. Closures for bottles. McGEORGE, vV. Sept. 22, 1938, No. 27683. [Classes 125 (i) and 125 (iii)] A bottle or like container 11 has a removable closure cap 6 with an eye bath 1 carried on it so that the eye bath is accommodated within the bottle when the closure is in position. The eye-bath itself is oval in cross-section but it has a cylindrical flange 2 with an internal thread 3 to screw on to the central boss 5 of the cap. A packing ring 12 is clamped between the flange 2 and the cap to form a seal. The cap, which may be of the screw-on type may be moulded from a synthetic resin, while the eye bath is moulded from a high grade artificial material such as that known under the Registered Trade Mark "Beetleware." The bottle 11 is made of transparent material and the neck has a constriction 14 as shown.
