Sept. 24, 1935, No. 26469. Convention date, Sept. 29, 1934. [Class 37] [See also Group XL] A tunable circuit with substantially no external magnetic or electric field consists of a spherical or cylindrical member 1 having a continuous conducting surface and a pair of enclosed condenser plates 4, 5 carried by arms 2, 3. The outer surface of the sphere and the arms 2, 3 together form the tuning inductance, and the plates 4, 5 the adjustable capacity. Power is fed to the circuit by leads 6 which pass through small holes in the outer shell.
