Abstract
402,120. Wireless receiving-apparatus. MARCONI'S WIRELESS TELEGRAPH CO., Ltd., Marconi House, Strand, and LINSELL, A. A., 42, West Hill, Sydenham, both in London. May 25, 1932, No. 14876. [Class 40 (v).] The tuning of a wireless receiver is facilitated by the provision of a device resonant to the frequency of the tuning modulation applied at the transmitter and a current or voltage indicator operated by the resonant device. The Figure shows a tuning fork resonantor having one tine 1a in the leakage field of the output transformer 2 and the other tine 1b associated with a coil connected through a rectifier 4 to a milliammeter 5. Instead of using the leakage field of the output transformer a separate choke in series with the output may be used short-circuited by a switch for ordinary reception. Electrical tuning or a reed or other mechanical or electro-mechanical vibratory device may be used in place of a tuning fork.
