Abstract
172,127. Macrorie, A. K.., Airey, H. Morris-, and Shearing, G. Sept. 2, 1920. Thermionic oscillation generators.-In order to reduce or damp out objectional harmonics in a valve receiving or transmitting set for wireless telegraphy or telephony, an adjustable inductance L is placed in series with an adjustable condenser C in the anode circuit, and the value of these elements is so adjusted that the circuit comprising them and the remainder of the aerial circuit between the tapping-point X and the point Y is in tune with the aerial circuit as a whole. Preferably the value of the inductance L is considerably greater than the inductance between the points X and Y, and the condenser C is comparatively small.
