Abstract

719,980. Valve amplifying and generating circuits. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd. Sept. 18, 1952 [Sept. 21, 1951], No. 23456/52. Class 40 (6) An oscillator or tuned amplifier for generating or amplifying high-frequency oscillations comprises a plurality of pairs of valves connected in push-pull, each valve pair having a separate tunable grid circuit and the anodes of all the valves being connected to a common tuned anode circuit. An oscillator comprises valves 1, 2 having their grids connected in push-pull to adjustable tuned circuit 3 and valves 4, 5 having their grids. connected in push-pull to adjustable tuned circuit 6. The tuned anode circuit comprises Lecher wires 11, the anodes of valves 1 and 4 which are excited in phase being connected to one terminal of the anode circuit while the valves 2 and 5 which are also excited in phase being connected to the other terminal of the anode circuit. Optimum conditions for obtaining maximum output are obtained by tuning circuits 3 and 6.
