[Class 103 (ii)] [See also Group X] A side-screen for fold ing or drop-head coupÚ bodies of motor vehicles is pivoted at its for ward lower corner to the body or door anc adapted to be tiltec into a pocket whether the head or hood is raised or down. The screen may be hinged to a pivoted pillar or may be transversely pivoted in a frame at e<1>, e<2>, and raising and lowering mech anism is provided which may comprise a lever and stud f, f<1> engaging the frame or the screen. The screen may be given a transverse pivoting movement when raised by a slotted cam h fixed to the lower pivot e<1> and a part f<4> of the lifting lever engaging therewith. The screen may be balanced by a spring the thrust of which is beyond the dead centre in the raised and lowered positions. Specification 341,090 is referred to.
