Windscreens.-A side window or screen A for a motor or like vehicle is provided at A<3> to an upper corner of a recess B<5> formed in the door B<2> or side B and has hinged to it a second screen D adapted to lie either transversely of the vehicle in the raised position, as shown in full lines, or to lie along the side of the vehicle as indicated in dotted lines to form a closed-in body in combination with the hood, the two screens in their folded position being swung down out of sight into the recess B<5>. A third screen, also capable of folding on the screen A, may be hinged to the latter about the vertical edge A<8>. In order to assist in maintaining the screen A in its raised or lowered positions a spring C is attached to a pin C<2> mounted on a portion A<5> of the screen frame and movable in a slot A<6> in the wall of recess B<5>, the spring in the extreme positions of the screen acting at opposite sides of the pivot A<3>.
