Abstract

200,352. Fornaca, G. July 4, 1922. Vehicle windows.-In a road vehicle body of the kind readily opened and closed and having a foldable roof, composed of two parts hinged together, and a rear wall 6 pivoted at its lower end to the body and at its upper end to the roof to turn down when the roof is lowered, the door windows are adapted to drop into the doors and the side windows 8 to slide back into guides in panels 5, hinged to the rear wall 6, and to be folded with the panels against the rear wall, portions of the inner parts of guides 51 on the body being cut away to permit this movement. The windows 8 are held in their closed or partly closed positions by spring catches 53 engaging notches 54 in the guides 50 in a part 2<1> of the foldable roof. In an alternative form, the windows 8 are made in two parts adapted to be housed side by side in the panels 5.
