Weather-screens.-Side curtains or windows of the kind which may be pushed open to permit the driver to signal are so constructed and mounted that the hinged window is connected by an expanding and contracting link either with the body rail or door, or with the main window frame, or with a separate frame adapted for detachable connection with the body rail or door, the link being pivoted at a point on the latter members or parts eccentrically disposed with respect of the hinge axis. As shown, the side curtain a is hinged in a frame b, adapted for detachable connection with the body rail f by lugs o, and is also connected to the frame b by a spring-controlled telescopic link e pivoted to the frame b eccentrically of the axis of the hinge of the side curtain a. Springs p on the pivot pins of the link prevent rattle.
