[Class 38 (iv)] In a lighting system in which incandescent cathode discharge lamps 1 are supplied by transformers 3 the primaries of which are connected in series to a constant current source 6 as described in the parent Specification, a saturated choke 7 is included in the primary circuit at a point remote from the supply to prevent the occurrence of high voltage peaks between the conductors extending to the lamps.
