560,001. Protective arrangements for pilot lamps in radio receivers. PHILCO RADIO & TELEVISION CORPORATION. Sept. 10, 1942, No. 12788. Convention date, Nov. 22, 1941. [Class 38 (iv)] [Also in Group XXXVI] In an a.c.-d.c. radio receiver a pilot lamp 8 of supply voltage rating is protected from excessive current at starting by connection in parallel with a cathode heating circuit 4 which is in series with a resistance 5 which, on a 110-120 volt supply, drops 6 to 9 volts under running conditions and much more when starting.
