Convention date, April 19, 1934, [Class 38 (iv)] Relates to an arrangement in which a number of incandescent cathode gasfilled lamps 1, 2 are supplied from series connected transformers 6, 7 and consists in connecting a choke 9 in parallel with some of the transformers in order to reduce the time lag during starting. The cathodes may be supplied from tapped portions of the secondary wingings. Auto-transformers may be employed. The source of supply may be through a high reactance transformer which is preferably a movable winding constant current transformer.
