[Class 69 (ii)] In a hydraulic transmission means employing pump blades fixed in a rotating casing, pivoted control blades in front of the intake side of the pump are adjustable from outside the casing. In one form, the spindles of the blades 6, Fig. 1, are each provided with a rotary piston moved in a cylinder 16 by pressure liquid admitted at 26, and with a pinion 29 meshing with a common toothed wheel 30 acted on by return springs. In another form, the spindles each have a pinion 44, Fig. 3, adapted to be turned by axial displacement of a toothed wheel 45, which is effected from a shaft 54 through a lever 49 having a toothed segment 53.
