Abstract
184,455. F÷ttinger, H. Aug. 8, 1921. [Convention date]. Impeller blades.- An hydraulic variable-speed gear comprises a centrifugal pump on the driving- shaft, one or more rotary engines on the driven shaft, and a controlling-valve. The centrifugal pump produces increased pressure as the discharge is reduced, preferably by the employment of greatly curved blades 7, and may be driven at a higher speed at starting, or may comprise several sections capable of parallel or series connection.
