Abstract
189,106. Wingquist, S. G. Nov. 15, 1921, [Convention date]. Speed-varying mechanism.-In an hydraulic change-speed gear comprising two or more sliding- vane pumps the driven shaft 3 carries a rotor 1 which co-operates with a rotor 5 on the driving shaft 6, and with a stator member 8 which is released for direct drive. The suction chambers of the pumps communicate through openings 13 with an outer casing 12 in which the liquid is cooled, the casing being stationary or mounted on either shaft.
