Abstract
452,638. Hydraulic transmission of power. AKTIEBOLAGET LJUNGSTROMS ANGTURBIN, 32, Kungsgatan, Stockholm. Feb. 19, 1936, No. 5067. Convention date, June 17, 1935. [Class 69 (ii)] In a hydraulic transmission of the pump and turbine type, the means for driving the pump shaft and taking off the drive from the turbine are disposed on one side, while means for adjusting the pump blades are disposed on the other side. An axially displaceable clutch ring 4 affords means for coupling a driving shaft 1 either to the pump shaft 16 or through a sleeve 8 to a gear-wheel 10 ; when the hydraulic transmission is in operation, the wheel 10 is driven from the turbine 24 through an overrunning roller clutch 28. The pump has pivoted blades 18, adjusted from a slidable sleeve through a segment bevel gear 34, segment bevel gear 33, sleeve 32, gear-wheel 31, and segment gears 30.
